TISHONEL WOOLCOCK

CERVANTES (there must be something else)

we are the iron fleet

new millennium pirates

in aircraft carrier ships

missiles for hook

amphibious peg-leg tankers

anti-terrorism is an imperialistic veil

periscope eye patch

dig for treasure

deep in desert pockets

say peace isn't an option

we will believe you

smear the sand with our blood

we are the fossilized price for life

homeland security is at risk

we must make it our own

we are not wrong

we are all dying

one star at a time

one stripe at a time

we are all dying

to have all roads

lead here.

Tishon is a New Jersey/Brooklyn based poet studying graphic design at Pratt Institute. Born in Jamaica, he's lived in New Jersey for most of his life and started writing poetry in grammar school. Tishon has performed at a few places around the city but considers The LouderArts Collective to be his home. Some of his poems can be found on Roguescholars as well as on his personal website. His greatest fear is not death, but to die without the world knowing that he wrote a single word.
