CHRISTIINA CARTER &
MATTHEW WASCOVICH

4 POEMS

from Shower Bare by Christiina Carter and Matthew Wascovich
(Slow Toe Publications, 2003)

nothing

today
i spoke to stuff
talking
out
loud and alone
—not alone—
covered
in galleries
i am reading you
i am into your wreck
i am keeping you
nothing
nowhere

     Δ

across the bridge

i left you burned
buried in things
in to your
pre-thoughts
and your design
in to your
lack and
success
it seems
like we push
front loaded
in step
heavy and
can not do
more

     Δ

throw away

this word
love
throw away
stuffed doggy
too good
for words
like
corrugated
cardboard
oven
she will cry
she will tear away

     Δ

that was it

who are you?
that was it
three decades of miss
short time trip
close your eyes
across states
on the same highways
in the same words
notes cross
kiss it
thrill walks
night time
autumn limbs
analogue us
