Calendars Galore!
Poetz maintains calendars in Hudson Valley, Long Island, Colorado, Connecticut and Vermont. Each calendar has its own Curator, a local poet who donates their time. The NYC Poetry Calendar ran from 1999-12/31/11, may it rest in peace.
There’s a tristate rollup version that incorporates listings from Long Island, Hudson Valley and Connecticut.
Long Island -- Curated by Barb Reiher-Myers (longisland@poetz.com)
Hudson Valley -- Curated by Bob Wright (hudsonvalley@poetz.com)
--(The Hudson Valley calendar covers Albany, Greene, Ulster, Orange, Rockland, Rensselaer, Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester counties.)
Connecticut -- Curated by John Jeffrey (connecticut@poetz.com)
Vermont -- Curated by Ronald Lewis (vermont@poetz.com)
Colorado -- Curated by Lynn Wagner (colorado@poetz.com)
Send your event listings to the calendar using the appropriate local email address listed above, in a plain-text email — no attachments, no embedded image files. Just the basics in a form that’s easy to cut-and-paste. Like so:

No bios, please! Just who, what, where, when and how much. Travel directions are nice if you have them, and important details such as over-21 or a minimum purchase requirement. And double-check that you’ve included the “when” — it’s surprising how many listings arrive without a date or time for the event.
Poetz would like to thank Brown Bear Software, makers of the Calcium program that powers our poetry calendars, for going above and beyond the call of duty in providing assistance in upgrading and migrating the calendars to the new site. Special thanks to Fred Steinberg, who even wrote a few scripts — at no charge! — to customize some defaults to our specifications. You guys rock!
