BRIEF LATE NIGHT MEETING
IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD OF LIPS

You are stunning, I’m speechless, we kiss
In the café door, at the car, in the street
At the restaurant table, in between tables
In the car, on the street, inside our coats
In the wind each time we kiss it’s summer
One tongue makes the other wetter, warmer,
We take turns groaning, biting in the neighborhood of lips
I can’t wait to get home to begin sending poems
Via phone, by text memo, by email
How long can I love you from tip to toe,
Without turning into a much more important person
Someone more exciting than myself?
I can’t wait to get home to begin sending poems
How much can I love you from tongue to toes?
